Tree Plantation
Tree Plantation Drive – First Project of the Parivartan Year 2026–27
The Tree Plantation Drive was the inaugural service project of the Parivartan Year 2026–27, reflecting Rotary’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development. Held at the Rotary Garden, the initiative saw enthusiastic participation from Rotarians despite heavy monsoon rains. Under the leadership of Project Director Rtn. Vijay Ghodekar and Project Chair Rtn. Ameya Atitkar, 16 native saplings—Bahava, Arjun, Tamhan, Bakul, and Kokam— were planted. The project aimed to increase green cover, promote environmental awareness, and inspire collective responsibility. The club has committed to regular care and maintenance of the saplings, ensuring long-term environmental benefits for the community, biodiversity, and future generations while strengthening fellowship among members.
