Blood Transfusion and test -Thalassemia Patients Community Service

Blood Transfusion and test -Thalassemia Patients

Our club is the Lead Club for the Rotary Ashraya ETN Day Care Centre at Ashraya Hospital, operating every Wednesday and Saturday. Currently, 12 children with thalassemia are registered at the centre. In association with CCT Blood Bank, we provide free filtered blood transfusions to ensure safe and quality treatment. Thalassemia patients require regular investigations to monitor iron overload, kidney and liver function, blood glucose (pancreatic function), and Complete Blood Count (CBC) to assess their overall health. Our club provides all these essential diagnostic tests free of cost through the generous support of Dr. Rtn. Madhav Baitule. This initiative enables timely medical care, helps prevent complications of repeated transfusions, and improves the quality of life of these children.
